Day of the event - resources for volunteers

Parking and Transportation

  • If at all possible, please try to use public transportation to and from the event.

  • If public transportation is not an option, please try to carpool.
  • Limited parking will be available at Central Lutheran Church which is across the street from the Convention Center. There are 300 spots available, and they will fill up early.

  • Free street parking is available south of Franklin on both Clinton and 4th Ave. This will be about a six block walk to the Convention Center.
  • Other parking is available in ramps downtown and the Convention Center can be accessed via skyways.

At the Event

  • Please leave purses, laptops, cameras, backpacks, etc. at home.
  • Lunch and water will be provided for you. Vegetarian meals will be available. If you have special dietary concerns, please make those accommodations.
  • Remember to wear comfortable shoes. You will be on your feet all day.
  • Our services and providers are continually changing. Please click here to view our directory of services and providers.
  • Please come with an open mind and a positive attitude. This is a wonderful event to be involved with and a way for you to help many people in our community.
